Vantage Point!
Vantage Point
Directed: Pete Travis
Starring: Dennis Quaid, Forest Whitaker, Matthew Fox
Dear Vantage Point,
You are a crazy exciting movie! I liked you! Even though you are pretty short as movies go these days, I’m glad we got to spend the time together that we did.
So, you tell a story of a shooting from several different points of view – then once that is covered you get all jiggy with it! Your ending was so crazy and wild I was like – WTF! I think I yelled a couple of times in the theatre, but other people did too so you can’t blame me!
Some of your story is sad, and some it kinda stupid, but still, I like you. The actors you used were pretty good, I actually thought Dennis Quaid was very good.
I am going to tell my friends about your super fantastical action and fast pace! I will also warn them to eat their snack during previews so they don’t drop it during your drama!
perception is reality!

ps – was this a flash forward or flash back for Dr Jack?
I enjoy different points of views so I was interested in this movie. After a couple of times of seeing pretty much the same shooting sequence though, I was about to become really tired of watching the movie over and over again with just a slight difference. Then, it finally went from a completely different perspective so I was interested again.
I think it would have been a more satisfying ending if we would out why the people were trying to assassinate the President, but it was left a bit vague. There were also some people involved in it that I would have liked to know why they were involved with the badness, but that wasn’t explained either. It did seem to focus so much on the different viewpoints that some of the story got dropped. I did find it entertaining enough overall. I also agree that the action sequences were very good.
