Spring TV: Family Dramas
It is a mixed bag with these three family dramas. Life Sentence fails at getting the right mix of serious and sweet when dealing with a young woman who is told that her terminal cancer is suddenly cured, but while she gets a new lease on life, her family has been destroyed with overlooked siblings and failed marriages when they thought she was dying. The Dangerous Book for Boys comes from a well-loved book, but the television adaptation turns out to be pretty generic. Vida is very different than other shows currently on Starz, but it is getting the best reviews out of all these shows.

I felt the same way about Life Sentence. I kind of wanted to like it because it would have filled that teen drama whole in my heart since some of my other favorites have ended recently. Lol.
