Fall 2017 TV: Sci-Fi or Supernatural

Ghosted doesn’t look as funny as it should be, but it has potential with its stars (Adam Scott, Craig Robinson) that I’m willing to give it a shot. The other show that looks good is The Gifted that has a plot line very similar to Heroes, but has Marvel behind it so it will most likely be better. The same can’t be said about Inhumans, which is also a Marvel property, but is receiving horrible reviews from everyone that has seen it about its bad acting and dialogue, laughable special effects, and cheap-looking costumes. Then there is The Orville, which is being marketed as a Seth MacFarlane comedy, yet it is too earnest to be a comedy or even a parody (in the Galaxy Quest vein). It does show its love for Star Trek, so if you are looking for that, it’s best to watch Star Trek: Discovery that has the Bryan Fuller cred, but you do have to pay for CBS All Access to watch it.

Warning about Inhumans: Its show runner is the same guy who was in charge of Iron Fist. People are saying this is why it sucks and no one should let him ruin any other Marvel properties.
