It’s odd that the director of Anchorman is making a drama (The Big Short) that doesn’t completely look like a straightforward drama, especially with the interesting hair on the main actors. I’m sure Michael Fassbender will be fabulous in Macbeth. I find it interesting that an ancient play that Chi-Raq is based on is extremely topical right now. Concussion seems like Oscar bait and Dixieland looks like it should be a tv movie.

Chi-Raq

Director: Spike Lee

Based on the Greek play Lysistrata (where a woman convinces Greek women to withhold sex until all the men negotiate peace and end a war), and in this case, it is the same concept in modern-day Chicago where the women want the men to stop all the gun violence.
