CBS Summer Schedule

CBS announced new and returning shows for it summer schedule amongst the usual reruns of its crime shows.

Gameshow Marathon hosted by Ricki Lake will be an elimination-style competition featuring celebrities playing various classic television games, such as The Price is Right, Let’s Make a Deal, Beat the Clock, Press Your Luck, Card Sharks, Match Game, and Family Feud. It will air twice a week for two weeks starting Wednesday, May 31st at 8/7c and Thursday, June 1st at 8/7c. The following week, it will be on Wednesday and Thursday (June 7th and 8th) before airing at its regular time of Thursday at 8/7c on June 15th.

Tuesday Night Book Club is a reality show following the lives of women living in a middle class suburb dealing with their kids, houses and husbands. They all get together each Tuesday night to discuss what’s going on with their lives. It premieres Tuesday, June 13th at 10/9c.

Rock Star: Supernova returns for a second season with two weekly airings starting on Wednesday, July 5th at 8/7c and Thursday, July 6 at 9/8c before moving to its regular times of Tuesday at 9/8c and Wednesday at 8/7c. This years group looking for a new singer will be brand-new made up “supergroup” of Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted from Metallica and Gilby Clark from Guns N’ Roses. Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke will be back as hosts.

Big Brother 7: All-Stars will premiere on Thursday, July 6 at 8/7c. It will air three times a week, like usual at Tuesday 8/7c, Thursday at 8/7c (eviction show), and Saturday at 9/8c. America will decide who gets to participate in the house from a pool of 20 contestants from past shows.

  1. I liked Rock Star: INXS last year. I hate the concept of reality shows of the sort, but I think rock star did a good job of showing us some good vocal talent last year.

    Of course if I come into it this year, expecting to like it, the show is gonna suckz0r hard.

  2. I liked Rock Star INXS because I liked hearing old INXS songs. I won’t be watching this year because all those guys suck. I forgot to add in there that the album will be written by some producer that writes songs for pop stars, not even members of the band. Stupid!

    I think the game show marathon sounds kinda cool since I loved some of those old games, like Press Your Luck. We’ll see if I remember if it is on.
